Safeguarding

SAFEGUARDING IS…

  • Protecting children from maltreatment
  • Preventing impairment of children's health or development
  • Ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes

CHILD PROTECTION

Child protection is part of safeguarding; it is any activity undertaken to protect specific children who are suffering or at risk of suffering significant harm.

As a school, we think it is vital that all children understand their rights and can distinguish between what actions and words are and aren't ok. We created a list of Every Child's Rights, which is prominent in every classroom and is taught in PSHCE and circle time.

If you would like to speak to someone at the schools about safeguarding, please feel free to contact our designated safeguarding lead, Joanne Evans.
